So, today I bought a Tempurpedic mattress set. It should be here in less than a week. I'm hoping I'll love it. We sell them at work, so I figured with my discount and being able to try it for 90 nights really gives me the opportunity to give it a good test run. I need something to help me rest at night.

Not So Fast Food

So...went to the KFC/Taco Bell. Ordered an 8 pc for me and a Twister Combo for the g/f. This was at 7:17pm. At 7:47pm, I spoke with the manager about why we hadn't received our food....a half fricken hour later. He apologized, made some lame excuse about an orientation (at 7pm on a Sunday night?) and refunded my money. We finally got our food about 5-10 minutes later. They screwed up the side dishes for the g/f, didn't have the right pieces in the 8pc, and overall left me in a less than pleasant mood.

Of course I responded like anyone who needs to vent should...I screamed and cussed and told them they could all go to hell...in my mind. Then I sent a nice little email to their corporate asking what method they use to cook chicken strips (what we were told we were waiting on) that took 30 minutes.

Interview and Dinner

Well, the first thing of note is that I have an interview tomorrow with a marketing company that acts as a liaison between large companies and their smaller partners. We'll see how that goes. Current job just isn't paying what I'm looking for.

Second thing is...and apparently I must think the current job is paying well enough, because I just dropped $100 on dinner for two downtown...lord what was I thinking?

Nothing like a boring day at work. It amazes me how the company even makes money with such a low turnout. They generate less revenue than the non-profit I worked for did.

I realized about 3 weeks ago that I seriously need to re-evaluate my fitness. When I was walking down the escalator that was broken and I could feel my stomach actually...bounce. I've been working out on an exercise machine at work that we sell and walking the 2-4 flights of stairs in the parking garage.

So...the background:

I had made a deal with my mother, whom I rarely visit, that if during her endeavour to lose weight, if she reached 250#, I'd come visit. So, this past week, she did it. I arranged to visit for the weekend. She, her roomate, and I all went out Fri and Sat.

I was supposed to meet "M", a good friend of mine Saturday night. Unfortunately, she got a headache and had to cancel. Even though I was pretty bummed, I knew I'd get to hang out with her on Sun because we'd planned to go see Rambo together.

Well, Sun comes around and my buddy "J" invites me to the Ville to go work out. I head down that way, figuring I have plenty of time to head back to catch the movie. While there, he invites me out for the night. Now's where the fucked up choice comes. I made the decision to stay in the Ville and hang out with him instead of keeping my original plans.

The short of that night was that we did pretty much nothing, just wen to the Pub at 4th street, but I'd forgotten my ID, so we couldn't do anything else.

I spent the rest of the evening and all of today regretting it and wishing I'd kept my original plans. When I told "J" that I'd cancelled my plans with "M" he said I should've kept them too. So overall, I feel like a total dick and wish I knew how to fix it.

Went out last friday with J and R. I let them go on without me cause they were being a total bore. I found these to chicks to talk to till my g/f came to pick me up. I had to work yesterday to try and make up some hours, even though it was my day off. It wasn't a horrible day, but it sure wasn't a walk in the park.

I'm still on vacation from work, will be until monday. My new computer came in, though I think I might have to start looking for a better place to put it. It's getting warmer and warmer as time goes on. Pushing 91 F right now. It's 100 times faster than the last piece of junk though, so that's good.

Had my car stolen, found it, turns out was someone I knew. Won't say who, resolved that. Got my eval at work, got the highest raise I can get. Manager got his eval today, didn't get nearly as well...hehehehe. I shouldn't laugh, cause they treat him wrong...but still. G/f's out of town tonight, will be back sometime tomorrow I think. That's about it, but for some reason I feel drained as all hell.

My day today at work was SLOW...super...duper...ultra...uber...slow.

I didn't even work over today cause I couldn't stand being that bored.

I'm in a pretty good mood tonight. I had a good day at work, things went smooth for a change. Helped Esther out in bakery. She's the bakery assistant manager, and quite possibly one of the most attractive managers I've seen at Wal-Mart. *wink wink* Real nice woman though, she was frstrated cause she had to work a long shift and her poor dogs were locked in her apartment. I tried to give her a helping hand where I could, to help her get out of there as fast as possible.

I'm off work tomorrow, so I think I'll stay up late tonight. Maybe play some M:tGO later.

Speaking of, played that earlier and won one and lost one. I was pleased though.

One of my associates was giving me some serious flack yesterday over when he should take his breaks, and then became a meal violation (Indiana law specifies when you have to take a meal break). I finally just went to upper management, so now he's getting coached today for his actions/inactions. Then later last night, an associate showed up 3 hours late, didn't call in, didn't let me know he'd finally arrived, and still hadn't clocked in. I was so livid, I had to have the Bakery Manager deal with him, for fear of my losing my cool. I gave my 2 cents worth that he should be coached today as well.

But if my calculation s are right, everything I worked today (as well as tomorrow and Friday) is overtime. I don't think I'm gonna hit the 70 hour mark, but I'm definitely gonna break the 65 hour mark. If they take my raise from my promotion and apply it to last week as well as this week, then I'll break over 1 grand in gross. Of course then Uncle Sam will take a huge chunk, but all's well that ends well I suppose.

what a couple days. Ok, where the hell do I start. One, I got my promotion yesterday. Had a falling out with an associate when I was told to keep him busy, he didnt' feel I was the person to do that since I wasn't lead. I told my manager that I basically got lead position yesterday, or I was going to another store to get it. I got it. :O)

Yesterday afternoon, I seen a lady in a bright pink clown outfit. I mean a completely decked out clown. I told Brent at work that if he asked the clown what she was doing, I'd give him an extra break. To my suprise, he did. Her story was suprisingly boring, she was a pro clown, had to get supper for the kids, didn't have time to change.

Sorry I haven't blogged more, but I've been working from 5am to 6pm every day, pulled 47 hours last week and my goal is no less than 60 hours this week with a maximum of 73 hours. If I pull off at least 65 hours this week, I'll gross over $1k on my next paycheck. That'll be sweet. I'm so going for that.

Today was my first full day as lead, it was fun, especially since my assistant manager wasn't there today, so the department really was mine. I didn't have any unexpected troubles and the day went really smooth. I was kinda stressed out cause I'm known for being very strict at work, especially when I'm in charge but I'm trying to take it easy right now so as not to cause everyone to rebel against me. I'm looking forward to the challenge.

My current goals are to be lead for one year and in the spring of 2006 apply for the Asst. Manager program. Then I'll be making enough money (hopefully) to support myself and my g/f without her having to work.

That promotion is so close I can taste it. Waiting on the store manager to make his decision. My manager has already said he chose me, just gotta see if the big man in the office goes with it. No reason he shouldn't, but he could take forever to make that decision. Otherwise things are going good, though something really amusing happened today. I was rubbing the g/f's back when she said she had a fat ass, so I rubbed it and squeezed it and told her "no you don't honey" and then went back to her back...then she'd mention her ass again, so I'd play with it some more. Then out of the blue she goes "My pussy's fat"...I about died with laughter. But we ended up having sex...again...and again...and again. Hehehe. We went d/t to take care of an issue over her parking permit at school, paid the light bill, and had lunch at Circle Center. All in all it was a pretty good day off. I've worked almost 50 hours in the past week. I'm tired, I need to sleep and for some god awful reason, I can't. The g/f had been complaining that her bras had been hurting her, finally convinced her to go get professionally sized. Turns out she was wearing a size or so too small. Nothing major, just enough to cause pain. What? Are you saying "Aww, he cares for her so much?" Nah, well..maybe a little...but come on, if her boobs hurt, I can't play with them. :O)

I'm so physically exhausted it's not funny, but for some reason my mind is racing. I wish I had someway to release it in a constructive outlet, but I'm drawing blanks on ideas. I don't have the physical energy left to do much.

Went clubbing last night with Jason. That was fun. Started off at the Ugly Monkey right after they opened, they had $2 you callits which helped speed up the getting drunk process. However, the place seemed kinda dead, so after a bit we head up to Have a Nice Day Cafe, but was told at the door that it still was dead inside by a guy coming out, so we headed down to some other place called Ike and Joes or something...either way it was rocking, and by far the best place we visited last night. The music was good, the people were friendly, and their special for the night was 25 cent drafts. I got my groove on (which is a highly amusing act) and had fun till Jason decided he wanted to head back to Have a Nice Day Cafe. Went up there, and it was booming, but everyone was kinda snotty there. Sucked bad. We left there after Jason made an ass of himself 3 times to the same 2 chicks. We headed back to the Ugly Monkey to see if it had picked up...and it hadn't. We stayed for a little bit, then finally went to Steak and Shake to get something to eat. Left SnS and came home, went to sleep about 3:30 am and I got up at about am. Ate breakfast with megan at McD's and now waiting for her to get home from work.

I probably should've posted YESTERDAY but didn't get around to it. So here's a little catch up:

Tuesday: I know there's thousands upon thousands of new blog entries about people having voted either again or for the first time this year, but I am still a voting virgin. For some reason I definitely did not feel motiviated to vote. Mostly due to a feeling taht I lacked the proper amount of information to make an intelligent decision. So while I'll probably get a barrage of comments about not voting (or not considering how few people read this).

Yesterday: Well, let's see. Kerry conceded. Whether that was a good choice or not, who knows. Bush for another 4 years. oh well, I survived the first 4. Was on the phone with Stephanie (a chick I work with) yesterday afternoon and she was blabbing on and on and on and on and on and on and on...well, you get the point. Anyways, I was actually listening to her ramble when someone across from me in the break room said something interesting and I made ONE, yes 1, just ONE comment about that person's convo. Well, she hung up on me instantly. Women confuse the fuck out of me. I swear. But anyways...

Today: Today's payday, Jason's supposed to come up from New Albany and we're going to The Ugly Monkey and maybe a few other clubs. I just woke up about noonish, and still need to go get my paycheck. Megan's going out with Lisa tonight. My girlfriend is great and I find her really attractive, but DAMN she has some hot friends....LOL....oh well.

Ok, so Saturday, I get home from work, get changed to go to O'Charlie's and just before I leave, my manager calls asking me to com back in later that night and work a few hours when he wouldn't have any coverage. I agreed. So anyways, I go to O'Charlies and the food was mediocre and the service horrible, which is very atypical of this particular resaurant. Leave there, come home, screw, freshen up, go to work. I worked from 5pm to about 9pm. While at work, setup plans with two chicks who work there to go out after 10 when the last of us got off work. We all headed over to Applebee's and shot the shit for a bit. A married couple they knew joined us. Had a grand old time. Didn't get home till like 1:30am. I went BACK into work at 6am today, was kinda tired all day. Got off around 2 pm and was supposed to meet with Steph at 6 to go out tonight. Well, laid down for a nap and overslept till 7:30pm (hence the title of the post). So ruined THAT fucking plan. Now I feel upset cause I stood someone up. I'm still tired. And I now have nothing to do tonight. *sigh*

Well, got home from lunch...and the internet was dead. I knew instantly what had happened. Yesterday, took the digital cable (TV) box back to them and ended that part of my service...well they accidentally disconnected my internet as well. So when I got home after an 11 hour day, I had to call them and deal with that. Though the lady was really nice, and we had it fixed in under 5 minutes, so I give an A+ to tech support.

Looks like I'm still going to get the Lead Peon position, but waiting till our co-manager shows back up from vacation. Today went pretty smooth. Work is going well. Things are flowing smoothly and sales are up double digit increases all week except one day. G/F went down south to have her car fixed and to visit with her mother. So I'm kinda bored just sitting around doing a whole lot of nothing.

I'm totally psyched that I spent last night talking to a girl I went to school with back in the third grade. It was really cool talking to her. I don't remember much from that far back, but from what I can tell, she's grown up to be an attractive, smart, and totally cool person. This definitely is a pleasant break from the drearies of day to day life.

Women confuse me. I've been using OkCupid to meet new friends in the Indy area. Well, this one chick invited me to come see a musical her theatrical group was putting on at UofIndy, so I went. I guess I didn't mention I had a g/f... Which in my defense, when you've dated someone for 2 1/2 years, and everyone knows it...you don't just automatically bring it up. Well, I mentioned it when she asked me why I moved to Indy. She appears to have gotten pissed. That wasn't my intention, and I tried to tell her so, but she went afk instead of talking to me. …a couple days. went down south. seen Jason, Brian, and gang. Had a bit of fun chit chatting and hanging out with them. Left N'Albany to go to the movies with maryanne, that got cancelled. maybe next time. spent today (wed) with mom. finally left to see if I could work out something with the dealer I'm buying my car off of, cause the piece of shit isn't worth what I'm paying, he wouldn't work with me very well, so I went to another dealer and unless something goes drastically wrong, by the end of the week I should have a 2000 Dodge Neon. She had hand written it, so I typed it up for her, make easier for her to review and also easier for her professor when she turns it in. Only had to fix one or two very minor grammatical errors. Need to address with her about flow within a point using subpoints that are cohesive and dependent instead of individual and independent.

Ok, so last night the girlfriend worked late. She came home and got in bed and was gonna tell me good night when all of a sudden I started making out with her. I was kissing her and stuff and pretty soon I had her naked, then me naked, and we had the best sex in our relationship (I didn't figure most of you wanted the details). I'll admit that our sex life has been kind of on the down lately, but last night was so great.
